Fire breaks out at Shoreditch restaurant
More than 100 firefighters and 20 fire engines were tackling a blaze at a restaurant in east London on Thursday, though no casualties have been reported.
The fire brigade was called to Tabernacle Street in the trendy Shoreditch area near the capital's financial district at around 4.30am, the London Fire Brigade said.
Smoke could still be seen rising from the scene hours later.
A London Fire Brigade spokeswoman said the fire had broken out in a building housing a restaurant. The floors above it, possibly offices, were also alight. She added that there were no reports of any injuries.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
